*Very Random Idea* Getting the idea from a book i'm readiong, but, only the basis of it.
The Hero throws a disk, with a cord attached, the cord would have a vaeying range, getting longer as the skill increased. While attatched too the cord, whatever way you aim it, it'd fly in a straight line, and upon impact too a target/building etc, this includes trees and other blockable terrain, will explode, dealing damage, the damage is fairly good, and aoe increases slightly per level.
But, while the disc is flying, you can press a hotkey too jerk the cord back, sending the disc hurtling at high speeds. The closer the disc is too the end of your rope (Depeneding on level's max cord) it will go faster, and be more accurate, max accurate being like it was still attached to the cord, only going far quicker. The further away from the end of the cord you release it, the higher the chance it will either just fly off in a random direction, with less and less speed until it may just drop if released right after being thrown. Or, it will simply have a slightly altered path, so, it was going straight, not it's flying more left, and won't hit the target. Also, the second damage type it does is physical, the faster it's going upon impact, the more it does. it will only affect the first few things it hits because right after that it will explode, but it will add too the damage. Also, while still attached too the cord, you may choose the detonate it, for pure explosive damage, with no chance for physical disc damage add-on.
So, summed up, you can throw it, and then either choose to blow up it while its still attahced too the cord, or, jerk the cord and make it fly faster or possibly go an entirely different way, which could in turn hurt your own army/units/buildings etc. With practice this could become a very deadly weapon.
*Note* if the cord is not jerked or the disc blown up when the disc has reached the end of the cord, it will explode by it'self.
